Steve Fenwick Joins MPS

A former professional rugby union and rugby league footballer of the 1970s and ’80s, who at representative level has played rugby union for Wales, and at club level has played for Bridgend RFC, playing at Centre and at representative level has played rugby league for Wales, and at club level have played for Cardiff City (Bridgend) Blue Dragons, playing at Centre

During his Rugby union career he played rugby as a schoolboy for Caerphilly Grammar Technical School, and later joined Taffs Well RFC. In 1971 he switched to Beddau where he played 51 games before moving on to the first class team at Bridgend. While at Bridgend he earned all his 30 international caps for Wales, making a debut against France in 1975.

A member of the 1977 British Lions tour to New Zealand, in which he played in all four Test matches and also captained Wales in the Centenary game against the All Blacks in 1980.
